Have you ever talked to VA's Tech people? Most of them know less about their
systems than we do.
Ask a VA owner how they control the temperature in the car. Ask how they

I have been contemplating air for my 69 Chevelle for about a
year now. I have done some research and have ask a lot of
questions of owners at the shows. At CB03 I ask a number of
guys how they liked their Vintage Air systems

Old Air's blower puts out something like 900+cfm
which is considerably more than anyone else's and their systems fit and work
extremely well. Same with AirTique to a certain extent but the Old Air system is
my first preference.
When I install an a/c unit later this year, that's
the route
Unless
someone can convince me any different I am going with Vintage Air myself. Their
sure fit series for Chevelles makes it look like factory air on the inside,
while cleaning things up under the hood. I know they were one of the first to do
hot rod/vintage car air systems and were in on

Ask a VA owner how they control the temperature in
the car. Ask how they like the cheesy plastic cover that VA supplies for the
firewall. Sorry,I used to think VA made "the" unit for our cars.
I too dont like the cheesy plastic cover for fire wall. I could, make my own out of sheet metal and I do like the fact that VA uses original controlls but, I'm really concerned about the air flow that you (Clint) mentioned.
I would rather have not put a unit in to only find a better one after the

Jason,
Great that this topic came up. I just bought last Sat. my new 67 Elky to
go with my 67 SS. Since the Elky will be my daily driver I have been
looking at my options for A/C. I talked to a few shops here and they
quoted me $1000 PLUS $500-$800
