Hello!
This might be a stupid question but I don't know anywhere else to ask!
The valve cover's got a vent connection which I suppose should go somewhere

The car's engine isn't stock at all! (A 1971 Chevelle)
The engin's a 402 BB (1972) with a Holley 800 DP M/T valve covers!
It's the driversides valvecover that's got this hose connection.
At the passenger side the hole's plugged whith a rubber plug.
At the base of the carburator there's a 1/4''

well, my pipe wrench works for bothSAE and

I remember having a b$#ch of a time getting the pittman arm off the

doing some persuading with the mini-sledge and still did not get it
off. I think we gave up and took it to a shop, but it has been over ten

Great! I know we spent quite a bit of time and energy that day,
re-doing the same basic front end replacement that you are going
through. We got it done, but it took all day and was not all that fun.

Hey Dan,
Here's a company that was recommended to me when I was looking for a
detent cable for my trans. I haven't actually used anything of
theirs, but I did get to inspect a setup in the shop. It looked
good, and seemed well-made.

They're a bit too much
first off, we need to know, what motor, what year, and what's connected to
your valve covers and carb

Lokar products are very good. In fact, in super chevy
a month or two ago they had a guy write in with the
exact same question. Super chevy replied saying to use
the lokar setup for a 68 camaro with a six banger for
the chevelles. I will confirm this when I get back to
my magazine archives
Im sure you will not want to hear this but I would
suggest not putting in that tranny. The only good
trait to them is they are cheap and easy to come by,
and thats pretty obvious once you live with on for a
little while. It would cost a little to convert to
that tranny and it would just not be

You should be able to buy that new. I believe its called a turn signal canceling cam.

If you are getting fumes in the interior of the car it is most likely
from your exhaust system. A leaky exhaust system/rusted out floorboard
combination can be deadly. Carbon monoxide poisioning is serious. You
need to fix it immediately if that's the problem.
There shouldn't be enough vapor
It doesn't smell like exhaust!
It smells gasoline, but I can't find any leakage anywhere so it might
be that the car gets a bit too much gas?
There's traces of dripping on top of the intake manifold, maybe
the carburator gets flooded?
But I want to get the Valve cover exhaust issue fixed anyway!
