Ah my confusion came from the leftover regex unit page on the wiki which also has been showing up in chickadee. Thanks to Jim for fixing this. As for the commit I think it would be "cleaner" to convert *all* the dependencies on regex to irregex, as Mario pointed out that the scripts using tools.scm all also depend on regex.
