Yep. At the same time. I don't do it so much now, but there have been
times in the past when I had classic CHIRP and CHIRP-next windows open
on my computer at the same time.

Both work fine even running side-by-side. The nice thing is that Chirp doesn’t
seem to take control of the port the entire time chirp is running, but only
during the read/write sequence, which allows both to work fine side-by side.

If you don't want to run them at the same time, you can create a second
login/user on your system and install each version under their own user.

I have both installed and can run on same computers on both MacOS and Win.
macOS is simple, just rename one if the apps. I renamesd the Next one to
Chirp-Next before putting it in Applications directory. Windows was a bit more
involved, but not too difficult either. I installed legacy

Legacy but not in Next (I opened a ticket about it).
