Part of our effort to move to WebKit tip-of-tree and participate fully in the WebKit community is to contribute the nearly 80 new layout tests we wrote before Google Chrome and Chromium were public. You can see our progress here:
http://tinyurl.com/cr-tests or http://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=piGkUUMLW-PNUzuhTCzm4NQ Many of the tests were written some time ago, when we weren't very knowledgeable about layout-test tools and style yet, so they will need some fixup before they're ready for submission. That's complicated by the fact that the bugs they test have all been fixed, so we have to be careful not to spoil the tests. Have a Mac? Want to help? Please feel free to sign up for a test or two. You'll need a Mac running Leopard and the free developer tools (Xcode), basic knowledge of HTML and JavaScript (possibly a little more advanced for some tests), a WebKit Bugzilla account, and willingness to respond to the WebKit review process. You don't need a Chromium checkout or even a Windows machine. The second page of that spreadsheet (click "How To" at the bottom) has more details and links. You can also ask me any questions, here or on #chromium. - Pam --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Chromium-dev" group.
