Re: [cia-drugs] Secular Pen-Pals vs. Pen-Pal ministry
Are Buddhists allowed to join this? - Original Message - From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: cia-drugs@yahoogroups.com Sent: Monday, August 15, 2005 2:52 AM Subject: [cia-drugs] Secular Pen-Pals vs. Pen-Pal ministry Dear Saints! After our first publication How To Do a Pen-Pal Ministry I received many letters. As we have announced, we will go through the entire article together, paragraph-by-paragraph, discussing it, giving feedback and bringing samples from our experience to prove the point. But first we have to clarify one issue. Much of first-wave mail came criticizing Church-based approach to Pen-Pal ministry. I deeply respect all opinions, as they have come from concerned people who took their time to share a thought. I really appreciate all the mail. I think we have a mixture of opinions coming from two perspectives. (There are values in both!) Let's have a subject for our discussion in the upcoming week - What is the difference between Secular Pen-Pal letter-writing and Pen-Pal Ministry? All opinions, even controversial ones, will be published! It will be conducted here: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Pen-Pal a href=http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Pen-Pal; (AOL) Agape! If you are reading this message and not a part of Pen-Pal Ministry group (maybe you simply have a loved one in chains!), listen to your heart - it might be God, Who is calling you to contribute to this conversation and be heard! You are much welcomed to join us! Show us how to reveal Your Good News of Salvation, Your forgiveness and mercy to lonely astonished hearts in remote forgotten cells! Give us knowledge how to speak in Love to someone who did a horrible crime, as well as to an innocent, who is behind a barbed wire fence by mistake or circumstances. Teach us how to be helpful as You bring back home inmates not as criminals who have served time, but as new creatures in Christ, as new law-abiding citizens of this society and saints of Your Kingdom! [cia-drugs] Where Did Turkey Go?
The neocon goal of dividing Iraq in three has been achieved. Saddam left HMX guarded under UN seal. Bush cut the seal and pulled security out. Sunnis are using the HMX against US and Iraqi forces. Iran-controlled Bader Shiites control the secret police. They have secret prisons. They are death squadding hundreds of Sunnis each month, incited by Mao-Mao Countergang operations blowing up Shiites at or near mosques in the name of Sunnis. This makes HMX work against Sunni interests, but they have 380 tons of HMX, which leads Shiites to blame Sunnis. The US has given the Iraqi military to the Kurds. In the beginning of the war, Turkey promised to invade Kurdish areas of Iraq if the US were to grant independence to the Kurds, because that would destabilize predominantly or significantly Kurdish areas of Turkey. Now that the US has given the Iraqi military to the Kurds, where is Turkey on this issue? -Bob Yahoo! Re: [cia-drugs] Re: Message to bush administration and dishonest media whores...New media email addy
It may sound pompous Marsha, but my "committee" is the world. Whomever wants to establish a boycott of O'Reilly's advertisers, you can be sure that I will include it under the icon on my site that says Boycotts We Support just as soon as my Webbie places it there. In virtually every Email signature I send, I include the sentence which says "Be sure to click on the icon that says Boycotts We Support, too. You'll be glad you did." This is due to the fact that nearly every day I add new supporters to my e-zine, and by the time they had waded through the first three editions of the zine to get to the edition in which that feature began, so much time would haveelapsed in gaining their support for these boycotts that I made the decision to add the icon so people could check out the boycotts much sooner than they otherwise would have. [cia-drugs] Warning Letter from a Police Officer - Dusted Off
Tuesday, August 16, 2005 Warning Letter from a Police Officer I'm sharing the followingstorywith an additionalquestion of my own: So what do we do? 1. Add another chemical to the drug war's list of banned substances, add a multitude of youngsters to the drug war's arrestable people list; and write laws that would lock up the parents of the dead child in the name of the drug war? 2.Have Falcon add warning labels so that parents can educate their children and regulate the product so that ID is required for purchase? Thank you for thinking this thing through. Kay LeeMaking The Walls Transparenthttp://www.angelfire.com/fl3/starke 1. Urban Legends Reference Pages: Toxins (Dusted Off) Have adolescents died of huffing from cans of Dust-Off brand compressed air? Dusted Off Claim:Adolescents huffing cans of Dust-Off brand compressed air have died. Status: True. Example: [Collected on the Internet, 2005] Subject: (Compressed Air) DUST OFF - WARNING First I'm going to tell you a little about me and my family. My name is Jeff. I am a Police Officer for a city which is known nationwide for its crime rate. We have a lot of gangs and drugs. At one point we were # 2 in the nation in homicides per capita. I also have a police K-9 named Thor. He was certified in drugs and general duty. He retired at 3 years old because he was shot in the line of duty. He lives with us now and I still train with him because he likes it. I always liked the fact that there was no way to bring drugs into my house. Thor wouldn't allow it. He would tell on you. The reason I say this is so you understand that I know about drugs. I have taught in schools about drugs. My wife asks all our kids at least once a week if they used any drugs. Makes them promise they wont. I like building computers occasionally and started building a new one in February 2005. I also was working on some of my older computers. They were full of dust so on one of my trips to the computer store I bought a 3 pack of DUST OFF. Dust Off is a can of compressed air to blow dust off a computer. A few weeks later when I went to use them they were all used. I talked to my kids and my 2 sons both said they had used them on their computer and messing around with them. I yelled at them for wasting the 10 dollars I paid for them. On February 28 I went back to the computer store. They didn't have the 3 pack which I had bought on sale so I bought a single jumbo can of Dust Off. I went home and set it down beside my computer. On March 1st I left for work at 10 PM. At 11 PM my wife went down and kissed Kyle goodnight. At 530 am the next morning Kathy went downstairs to wake Kyle up for school, before she left for work. He was sitting up in bed with his legs crossed and his head leaning over. She called to him a few times to get up. He didn't move. He would sometimes tease her like this and pretend he fell back asleep. He was never easy to get up. She went in and shook his arm. He fell over. He was pale white and had the straw from the Dust Off can coming out of his mouth. He had the new can of Dust Off in his hands. Kyle was dead. I am a police officer and I had never heard of this. My wife is a nurse and she had never heard of this. We later found out from the coroner, after the autopsy, that only the propellant from the can of Dust off was in his system. No other drugs. Kyle had died between midnight and 1 Am. I found out that using Dust Off is being done mostly by kids ages 9 through 15. They even have a name for it. It's called dusting. A take off from the Dust Off name. It gives them a slight high for about 10 seconds. It makes them dizzy. A boy who lives down the street from us showed Kyle how to do this about a month before. Kyle showed his best friend. Told him it was cool and it couldn't hurt you. Its just compressed air. It cant hurt you. His best friend said no. Kyle's death Kyle was wrong. It's not just compressed air. It also contains a propellant. I think its R2. Its a refrigerant like what is used in your refrigerator. It is a heavy gas. Heavier than air. When you inhale it, it fills your lungs and keeps the good air, with oxygen, out. That's why you feel dizzy, buzzed. It decreases the oxygen to your brain, to your heart. Kyle was right. It cant hurt you. IT KILLS YOU. The horrible part about this is there is no warning. There is no level that kills you. It's not cumulative or an overdose; it can just go randomly, terribly wrong. Roll the dice and if your number comes up you die. ITS NOT AN OVERDOSE. Its Russian roulette. You don't die later. Or not feel good and say I've had too much. You usually die as your breathing it in. If not you die within 2 seconds of finishing "the hit." That's why the straw was still in Kyle's mouth when he died. Why his eye's were still open. The experts want to call this huffing. The kids don't believe its huffing. As adults we tend to lump many things

Anyone who thinks Kris is a disinfo gatekeeper, please feel free to depart this forum asap, start your own group or join one of the thousands of others already on the web. If you truly believe Kris is being managed by the cia or the masons or whatever...why waste any more of your precious time talking in his forum? Frankly I'm tired of your allegations and the frequent attempts to wear Kris down spiritually and emotionally. I find Kris' posts to be of great interest, and believe he is a national treasure, while I've found nothing of interest in anything posted by his detractors, including Tim. Stew Webb is a wingnut, always was, always will be. Not a single real researcher in the world takes anything Stew Webb says seriously. To engage in massive flamewars with and about wingnuts is a common disruption technique. Any intelligent person knows wingnuts are tar babies...drawing attention to them only gives them more credibility than they deserve. [cia-drugs] Orwellian Doublethink In London
Orwellian Doublethink In London If liberty means anything at all, it means the right to tell people what they do not want to hear. - George Orwell Related: Prisonplanet.tv Reading Room: 1984 By George Orwell It was quite simple. All that was needed was an unending series of victories over your own memory. "Reality control," they called it: in Newspeak, "doublethink." - George Orwell (Nineteen Eighty Four) During Alex Jones' flying visit to London we experienced again and again instances of what George Orwell penned as "Doublethink". As experts on Orwell's novel we were shocked to see how far down the line our society has gone towards actually becoming Nineteen Eighty Four. Five years ago I concentrated on Orwell's novel for my University dissertation, I had concluded that Orwell's novel was one of extreme importance and artistic quality due to the fact that it continued to provide us with a warning of what we could become and how we must resist such an eventuality. Now, I am sorry to say, we are in that eventuality. We can still get out though, it is not too late, there are still more "oldthinkers" than there are "newthinkers", or those who engage in doublethink. The first instance of doublethink we happened upon in London concerned the masses of surveillance cameras that have gone up everywhere. Upon noticing a pole with at least four or five black cameras on it, we interviewed an employee of the Hard Rock Cafe establishment in the vicinity. He stated that "there are a lot of things going on in London that need to be kept track of." He then went on to reveal he had been working in he cafe for over a year and had never noticed the cameras. Furthermore he told us "I choose to ignore them, for me they do not exist". Shocked and horrified we asked for clarification, praying we had misheard what he had said. "Those cameras do not exist" he reiterated. This is classic doublethink. The man knows that the cameras do exist but chooses to believe they do not exist! His mind slid away into the labyrinthine world of doublethink. To know and not to know, to be conscious of complete truthfulness while telling carefully constructed lies, to hold simultaneously two opinions which canceled out, knowing them to be contradictory and believing in both of them, to use logic against logic, to repudiate morality while laying claim to it, to believe that democracy was impossible and that the Party was the guardian of democracy, to forget, whatever it was necessary to forget, then to draw it back into memory again at the moment when it was needed, and then promptly to forget it again, and above all, to apply the same process to the process itself -- that was the ultimate subtlety: consciously to induce unconsciousness, and then, once again, to become unconscious of the act of hypnosis you had just performed. Even to understand the word "doublethink" involved the use of doublethink. - George Orwell (Nineteen Eighty Four) We traveled on and discovered a second site at London Bridge, where a massive pole was still being fitted deep into the ground. All along the pole were not just cameras but motion detectors and some other form of scanning technology. In total there must have been 15-20 pieces of surveillance technology on one large black pole. Ironically, as I was shooting video, two policemen walked by, pointing at the pole and seemingly questioning what on earth it was all for. However, when we kept rolling and Alex started commentating on the Orwellian aspects of the fixture, patrons in the cafe behind us began laughing and pointing at us. Alex then noticed one man was physically shaking with anger and commenting that he should assault us. All this because we were daring to film the cameras and question why they were there. Alex then asked them if they would comment on the cameras and they refused to. They seemed to be unaware even of who George Orwell was or what Nineteen Eighty Four is. It is true that now more people know Big Brother as a tv show, than know it as the Primary controlling overlord of Orwell's novel. Alex joked that the national symbol of Britain, the Union Jack (we were then berated and told it is a bulldog - which is not true, we don't put a picture of a bulldog behind Tony Blair when he conducts speeches) had been replaced by the surveillance camera. The people around us failed to grasp that this was a joke, an analogy for the fact that there are more of these cameras in plain view than there are Union Jacks. They again became aggressive. This is akin to another form of Orwellian doublethink - Crimestop: "The faculty of stopping short, as though by instinct, at the threshold of any dangerous thought. It includes the power of not grasping analogies, of failing to perceive logical errors, of misunderstanding the simplest arguments if they are inimical to Ingsoc, and of being bored or repelled by any train of thought which is
[cia-drugs] Terror Expert Admits Government Sponsored Terror
Media Darling Terror Expert Admits Government Sponsored Terror Loftus Says Rogue Elements of intelligence Agencies Protecting Terrorists Steve Watson/Infowars | August 5 2005 We have continually documented how those at the top of British and US intelligence services have again and again recruited, funded and employed useful terrorists. In 1993, the bomb used in the first WTC attack was cooked by the FBI and the driver was under their instruction. It was the same story in 1995 with the destruction of the Alfred P Murrah Building in Oklahoma, again the Feds were implicated, the stooges were under their control. And we know for a fact that Bin Laden was a protected CIA asset, he even had the codename Tim Osman. We have previously revealed how former MI5 officer David Shayler has alleged, and French intel sources have corroborated, that the MI6 paid a Libyan al-Qa'ida cell £100,000 in 1995 to assassinate colonel Qaddafi. The use of the group that has come to be known as "Al Qaeda" as assets by Intelligence services the world over is well documented. So It came as little surprise that the so called mastermind of the 7/7 London Bombings was in the employ of British Intelligence. The July 29 edition of FOX News Channel's Day Side programme revealed that Haroon Rashid Aswat, had been working for MI6. Former Justice Dept. prosecutor and Terror expert John Loftus revealed that the Al-Muhajiroun group, based in London had formed during the Kosovo crisis, during which Fundamentalist Muslim Leaders were recruited by MI6 to fight in Kosovo. Mr Loftus Appeared on The Alex Jones Show earlier this week and revealed even more detail concerning the case of Aswat and the "War on terror". Although it seemed that Loftus was reluctant to accept that time and time again the "failures" of the Intelligence agencies are more than just coincidence, he had no choice but to verify the stone cold facts that Alex presented him with during the 20 minute interview. Loftus firstly pointed out that the Israeli services have long known that British Intelligence have allowed Muslim extremists to train and recruit in Britain with the promise of safe haven so long as British interests are kept off the hit list. Loftus went on to spell out that British Intelligence and the US dept of Justice had protected Haroon Rashid Aswat before in 1999 when he traveled to America. The Justice Department failed to indict Aswat as he attempted to set up a terrorist training school in Oregon: "His superiors, his subordinates were indicted, not him. The New York office claims The British told them he was dead, he wasn't dead he was hiding in South Africa." Loftus highlighted. Aswat was then allowed back into Britain just weeks before the bombings even though he was on a watch list and was a known terrorist and a wanted man. Mr Loftus made this clear in explicit detail: "The only explanation is that the Arab Newspapers were right and this guy was working for the British Secret service." COINCIDENCE? When questioned over the drills that were being operated on 7/7 at the exact same times and locations as the bombings, Loftus asserted that it "was a coincidence, a lot of those are run, there is no conspiracy there". Yet as we have reported, the chances of this happening are literally millions to one. Furthermore Loftus suggested that Tony Blair and the British Government had no knowledge of Aswat and that opportunist bureaucrats in MI6 were to blame. Alex pointed out that even if this was the case there are compartmentalized crime groups within the intelligence services that are funding Al Qaeda leaders to attack Western citizens. This equates to Government Sponsored terror. Loftus could only agree: "Boy you have put your finger right on it there. There are compartmentalized groups who engage in crimes. Are these authorized by the Government or is it wink and a nod stuff? We haven't got to the bottom of this yet and a lot of us are very very concerned." Mr Loftus then reasserted what Alex has been addressing for a long time now, that the whole Al Qaeda Phenomenon began in the mid forties as the CIA was recruiting Nazi Arabs. In the mid eighties Loftus himself testified before Congress on the illegal use of Nazi war criminals by US intelligence. "The Muslim Brotherhood was an Arab Nazi Movement. The CIA shredded all its files on the Muslim Brotherhood, but you can find out what's in them by doing a google search on two words - Banna and the second word is Nazi. Search those two words and you're gonna find about 20-30 very interesting articles on how this whole Al qaeda stuff began. It began in 1945 when the British recruited this Nazi Arab Movement, The Muslim Brotherhood, CIA took them over in the Early 50s, we hid them in Saudi Arabia." Loftus pointed out that Saddam Hussian was a member of the Brotherhood by proxy through his family who were directly recruited by the CIA in the 50s. And all

[cia-drugs] Unusual U.S.-Russian Reporting Team To Probe Editor's Murder in Moscow
http://mediachannel.org/blog/node/647 Unusual U.S.-Russian Reporting Team To Probe Editor's Murder in Moscow Submitted by editor on August 16, 2005 - 2:15pm. By JACOB GERSHMANSource: New York Sun As an American journalist working in Moscow, Paul Klebnikov, accumulated a lengthy list of enemies, ranging from Chechen mobsters to billionaire bandits. Those responsible for his murder last year may not have realized just how many allies Klebnikov also had. A team of top-flight investigative reporters from America and Russia has committed itself to untangling the case of Klebnikov, the 41-year-old editor of Forbes Russia who was gunned down at the peak of his career while walking home from his offices in northeastern Moscow on the evening of July 9. Dubbed Project Klebnikov, it's a cooperative mission that involves at least 20 journalists, New York University's department of journalism, the Economist, Bloomberg News, Vanity Fair, and Forbes. This sort of synergy in the field is "pretty much unheard of" the dean of Columbia University's Graduate School of Journalism, Nicholas Lemann, said. The notion of collaboration works against the instincts of those in the business: News outlets need exclusives and reporters typically don't like to part with sources or glory. Members of Project Klebnikov, a voluntary effort, say they are driven by a lack of confidence in both Russia's investigation into the murder and the ability of a single news organization to crack the case alone. They point to a statistic that reflects the insecurity with which reporters in Russia operate and the state of the country's legal system: Of the 12 contract-style murders of journalists in Russia since President Putin became president in 2000, none has been solved. Klebnikov is the only American among them. Among their biggest supporters are Klebnikov's family members, who recently were given access to evidence in the case from the office of Russia's prosecutor general. Paul's elder brother, Michael Klebnikov, 50, in a telephone interview with The New York Sun, said he was skeptical of the results of Russia's investigation, which pins his brother's murder on a Chechen mafia leader, Khozh-Akhmed Nukhayev, who was critically profiled by Klebnikov in a 2003 book called "Conversations With a Barbarian." Michael Klebnikov said he doubts that Mr. Nukhayev had such a violent reaction to the book and speculated that the motive for the murder had to do with documents that his murdered brother had in his possession. On two separate occasions, in March and May 2004, his brother told family members about "deeply troubling" documents he had found, one batch of which related to Moscow real estate. "This was a pre-emptive move rather than retribution," the elder brother told the Sun. "But this is purely speculation." The family has hired an attorney to review the evidence in Moscow and is also getting advice from the American government, which established a multi-agency working group "to look at all aspects of the case," the assistant secretary of state for European affairs, Daniel Fried, told the Sun by telephone yesterday. The size and scope of Project Klebnikov has observers likening it to the most famous of journalist cooperatives, the Arizona Project of 1976. Led by Bob Greene of Newsday, 38 reporters from 28 newspapers and television stations descended on the Copper State to finish the work of slain investigative reporter Don Bolles, who had been working on a story about land fraud when a car bomb took his life. The Arizona Project, the focus of which was exposing corruption and organized crime in Arizona rather than who was behind Bolles's death, resulted in a 23-part series that ran in several major metropolitan newspapers, including Newsday. The coordinator of Project Klebnikov is Richard Behar, who met Klebnikov in the late 1980s when the two were early in their careers and working for Forbes magazine. Mr. Behar is best known for his lengthy expose of Scientology that appeared in Time magazine in 1991. That story led the church to launch a $416 million libel lawsuit against the magazine, which was dismissed by a federal appeals court in 2001. He was reporting from Karachi in 2001 for Fortune magazine - following the same terrorism-financing trail that led Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl to his death. Mr. Behar said the idea of the project goes back to an October memorial service for Klebnikov on the Upper East Side, during which he told mourners that he and other journalists ought to figure out who murdered their colleague. In a recent interview at Soho House in the meatpacking district, Mr. Behar said he doubted that one news outlet could unravel the case. "With all respect to news organizations, a story like this in today's economic and global climate is too complex, cumbersome, expensive, and risky to commit the resources to try to entangle," he said. Mr. Behar said the
[cia-drugs] Central American Rulers Push for U.S.-supported Militarized Police
http://narcosphere.narconews.com/story/2005/8/16/155658/401 Central American Rulers Push for U.S.-supported Militarized Police By Benjamin Melançon, Posted on Tue Aug 16th, 2005 at 03:56:58 PM EST In the aftermath of CAFTA, the presidents of Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, and Nicaragua have proposed creating a regional rapid-response police force with military-assault capabilities-- if, that is, the United States government will provide resources for it. This may be a statement from Central American governments to the United States government: you want us to join you in CAFTA, so give us the money, guns, and military training to control our people. Drugs, gangs, and the generally violent consequences of making drugs illegal are, as usual, excuses for more police and increased state power. Whether or not to the so-called trade agreement has anything to do with the insistence that the U.S. sponsor the militarized police force, the United States' main export to Central America may end up being both sides of the drug war. Reporters Chris Kraul and Alex Renderos wrote for the Los Angelos Times (my emphasis added): El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras are waging an intense war against street gangs including the notorious Mara Salvatrucha whose members number about 50,000. Their activities often are transnational, involving trafficking in drugs and people. Many are former convicts who have been deported from the United States. Berger and Honduran President Ricardo Maduro have said that their nations' armed forces, greatly reduced after the end of armed conflict, are not up to combating organized crime on their own and that a regional approach might be the only answer. Guatemalan Interior Minister Carlos Vielmann said Monday that the force could become a reality only if the United States agreed to provide training, equipment and intelligence. Kraul and Renderos, writing from Mexico City, indicate no CAFTA subplot (nor any awareness of economic inequality and its impact on the drug war), but do note concerns with the plan: A proposal by Guatemalan President Oscar Berger to establish a Central American "rapid-reaction force" to fight drug traffickers and gangs is gaining strength, even as opponents say it could become a tool of U.S. interests and threaten the region's sovereignty. Several countries in the region are going forward with plans for such a force numbering at least 500 soldiers, sailors and pilots. It would be used to interdict drug shipments in the air and on the land and sea while fighting the growing influence of gangs and organized crime in urban centers and in remote drug-trafficking areas. But the idea has generated opposition among those who say the force could end up serving the interests of the U.S. The official position of the four governments appears to be that this is fine as long as the U.S. pays: "the force will need the will of the Central American countries and the vital support of the United States," said Leonel Sauceda, spokesman for the Honduran Ministry of Public Security. According to reporters Kraul and Renderos, major elements of the proposed military force -- who will command it and how, what its jurisdiction would be, and what circumstances would trigger its deployment -- have not been decided (or disclosed). "[One] problem is that it would be a repressive, not a preventive, force," said Grisel Grapo of the Center for Guatemalan Studies in Guatemala City. "The other is that Central American countries don't have their own agenda that establishes what the threats are to their national security. If they did, there would be a better dialogue on adopting an appropriate front." If the United States goes along with the plan, it may very well be making the decisions about how and when the force would deploy. Leonel Gomez, a Salvadoran security consultant, said the danger of such a reaction force was that it might become an "out-of-control SWAT team." "Who would come up with the intelligence on which the team would act? Would it be Guatemala? Honduras? El Salvador? Without coordination of intelligence, responding in a violent manner and without oversight, it would only engender more violence," Gomez said. [cia-drugs] Close Informant Friend Of Former FBI Agent John O'Neill, Killed on 9/11,
from sean on political-research http://www.arcticbeacon.com/articles/article/1518131/31621.htm http://www.rense.com/general67/close.htm Close Informant Friend Of Former FBI Agent John O'Neill, Killed on 9/11, Tells How FBI Higher-Ups 'Shut Him Down' Letting 9/11 HappenBy Greg Szymanski8-16-5 A Seattle woman who was a close informant of former FBI agent and Al Qaeda hunter John O'Neill during the crucial months prior to the 9/11, said they both provided vital information in an attempt to stop the attack but were blocked by officials in the New York and Washington bureaus every step of the way. The informant's earth shattering revelations and hard evidence, including names, dates, locations, motives and sordid dealings of known terrorists, may once and for end all speculation that the FBI overtly tried to thwart O'Neill's investigation, as well as even show authorities worked closely, assisting known terrorists in bringing about 9/11 as well as other previous terrorist attacks. The detailed information, never released publicly and provided to the Arctic Beacon and the American Free Press, clearly shows, according to the informant, a plot in the FBI by O'Neill's boss, Tom Picard and others higher-up in the chain of command to block O'Neill just when he may have been able to gum up the works, mainly from contacts made by the Seattle informant with a major Al Qaeda cell operating on the East Coast. Seattle veterinarian and long time friend and informant of O'Neill, Janet Parker, 53, said O'Neill was stopped by his bosses only months prior to 9/11 from getting a wire tap on a major cell leader, Shadrack Manyathella, who had close ties with Ali Mohammad, a suspected CIA double operative and Mohammad Atta, the alleged 9/11 ring leader. "His own bureau blocked him every step of the way, but John wanted me to bate Shadrack and get as much information as possible," said Parker in an extended telephone conversation from her Seattle home this week, concerning several telephone conversations with the alleged terrorist thug in the months preceding 9/11. "Shadrack was anxious to get me into his organization, since I was considered a valuable asset as a veterinarian. Also, he wanted me to marry another one of his friends named Mohammad, I think so he could get him citizenship papers and a passport." During July 2001, O'Neill and Parker communicated numerous times, sharing vital information and trying to determine the best way to uncover Shadrack's plans, as O'Neil told Parker "something big was in the works and coming down soon." Although O'Neill was working non-stop, day and night, to connect the dots and pin down Shadrack and the intentions of other terrorists, traveling back and forth from Europe and Yemen about the USS Cole bombing as well as trying to stop future attacks. However, Parker said during this time O'Neill also became very despondent and depressed by the lack of cooperation he was getting from FBI headquarters. Parker, who first became associated with O'Neill more than 30 years ago in other FBI-related investigations, said O'Neill had even traveled to France, deciding to work with French intelligence, instead of his own bureau, since they were more cooperative and Shadrack often communicated to other terrorist cells, located in all parts of the world, in French. "You have to understand that John and I had known each other for a long time. We shared a lot of information, not only about Shadrack, Al Qaeda and what turned out to be 9/11, but also about the Boston FBI scandal which I was involved in, when various FBI agents were jailed for corruption and about 19 informants like myself were brutally murdered," said Parker, adding O'Neill protected her identity in that case and probably saved her life, allowing her to run for her life and start over again in Seattle. "I remember once when my foster daughter was visiting, I think in February, 2001, I overheard talk about airplanes and the World Trade Center. "But concerning John, he was ambitious and maybe that was his downfall, but he was also skilled, talented and completely dedicated to stopping terrorism. He did pressure me over the years and put me in difficult spots, but I would fight back at times, reminding him I was only a volunteer.
[cia-drugs] Bush Against the Generals
http://www.antiwar.com/justin/?articleid=6938 Bush Against the Generals Iran, the White House, and the purge of the military by Justin Raimondo The tipping point against this immoral, ill-conceived and in-every-way disastrous war seems to have been reached, as hundreds and soon to be thousands of Gold Star Mothers and sympathizers march against the war in Crawford, Texas. Popular support for George W. Bush's Napoleonic foreign policy has plummeted to its lowest point ever. "Like the Japanese soldier marooned on an island for years after V-J Day, President George W. Bush may be the last person in the United States to learn that for Americans, if not Iraqis, the war in Iraq is over," avers Frank Rich: "'We will stay the course,' he insistently tells us from his Texas ranch. What do you mean we, white man? A president can't stay the course when his own citizens (let alone his own allies) won't stay with him. The approval rate for Bush's handling of Iraq plunged to 34 percent in last weekend's Newsweek poll a match for the 32 percent that approved President Lyndon Johnson's handling of Vietnam in early March 1968.'" The war against Ba'athist Iraq may be over, but the war against the mullahs of Iran is just beginning. What else are we to make of the president's recent interview with Israeli public television: "When asked if the use of force was an alternative to faltering diplomatic efforts, Bush said: 'All options are on the table.' 'The use of force is the last option for any president. You know we have used force in the recent past to secure our country,' he said in a clear reference to Iraq. 'I have been willing to do so as a last resort in order to secure the country and provide the opportunity for people to live in free societies,' he added." A "last resort"? Don't make me laugh. The Bushies came to Washington all primed up to invade Iraq: 9/11 gave them the excuse they needed to carry out their plan a plan, by the way, not limited to the conquest of Iraq. The confluence of the president's pronouncement with news of Vice President Dick Cheney's recent request that the military come up with a plan to attack the Iranians using nuclear weapons as a response to a terrorist attack in the U.S., should send a good-sized shiver down your spine, dear reader, as it does mine. Frank Rich believes Bush "can't stay the course when his own citizens" refuse to go along, but that is nonsense: he can and will do exactly as he pleases. The constitutional provision assigning exclusively to Congress the power to declare war has long been a dead letter, killed by Harry Truman when he sent U.S. troops to Korea. Aside from a few old-fashioned conservative Republicans, the peoples' elected representatives uttered hardly a peep of protest. Just as Congress aside from a few isolated, and heroic, cases will stay silent today. As long as the Democratic party is successfully neutered on foreign policy issues by the neocon-influenced Democratic Leadership Council, the War Party will encounter no opposition on that front. The political groundwork for an assault on Iran has already been laid, as Joshua Kurlantzick points out in an excellent piece in Vanity Fair magazine, and these preparations ought to evoke in us an eerie sense of déjà vu: the same playbook is being used as was followed in Iraq, even including a mysterious (and, in this case, uniquely kooky) group of exiles funneling fake "intelligence" to the war hawks in the Pentagon. You say Chalabi, I say Rajavi let's call the whole thing off! As the president of the United States cowers in his ranch, afraid to meet with a 48-year-old mother who wants to know why her son had to die, he hurls anathemas at Tehran and gathers his hosts for fresh conquests. Bush can safely ignore Congress not that they'll give him any trouble and he can tell the chauffeur to speed up when he passes Cindy Sheehan on the way to a fundraiser for the Republican War Machine. However, he can't safely ignore the grumbling of his generals who may be just short of joining the Crawford peace camp, along with a few divisions from the North American Command. Bush has just slapped down the top American commander in Iraq, General George Casey, for daring to suggest that troop reductions were in the offing. The London Telegraph reports: "The top American commander in Iraq has been privately rebuked by the Bush administration for openly discussing plans to reduce troop levels there next year, The Sunday Telegraph has learned. Gen
