When I was in the hospital a few years go with kidney stones, I was
using a little EEEPC netbook on HealthSpot & I don't recall any problems
that I had, other than it timing out occasionally & having to sign back in.
I primarily use firefox because its what I'm used to, has the extension
I want & becausewell..Chrome sucks spherical objects. ;-)
With regards to tethering to your phone, you could try hooking it up to
the wireless if it works easier (usually my phones have worked when I am
there, unless I am out of range or they put intentional blocks on it) &
then set it airplane mode so you aren't burning through data.
Conversely if you think you might be using a lot of data, you can often
contact your provider & add extra data & then just cancel it before the
next billing cycle. I did that when I was having some issues with
provider & phone & data exploded. I paid $10 to get I can't recall how
much extra data to cover the overage, but it was cheaper then paying for
the per GB data charge.

I will be staying at the Peter Lougheed hospital for the time being. The
only connection I have is Healthspot. It is a pain to hook up to. I have
to try various browsers and still a lot of muking around. Does anyone
have any suggestions to get this working. Not a lot of experience, so
need a simple solution.
Thanks,
Joe
