I think, for example, you can't do WPA in ad-hoc mode (only WPA2), so
there's a reason. There are some others like this one.

Heh, just chiming in to say, the freerunner packs a bit alright (especially
in terms of ram), but you shouldn't compare processor frequencies (Mhz)
directly, because it's definitely not comparable -- for example if I

Treviño's World - Life and Linux
is opensource, and you can
easily get the GTK stack back in there in no-time (hell, currently it's
easier to find the GTK images than the ASU images). So, what's the big
trouble?
Just my couple of eurocents, and hoping to get my efl+qt+gtk neo soon.

I second that. Is there a way to test the new software on qemu?
Looking forward to start hacking stuff on my OM...

P.s.: Also, we have bluetooth, so ps3 remote and wiimote should also be usable.

Yeah, they're pretty big, although the camera seems to be pretty bad.
Btw I was under the impression that the freerunner case was black with
grey, like the 1973 on this picture:

Yeah, I think that would be an excellent idea! Stop with the -1 or -5

It would be cool also if the Y-cable needed for powered usb host was
included. Since I understand that the cable is kind of custom, and that's
one of the highlights of the neo (being able to connect usb stuff directly
to it), I think it should be included.
I also agree with including the charger.
Hi.
Is this the mini-usb (on OM side) -- usb (pc side), or the Y usb cable for
usb host?

Personally, I'm one of those who don't have a data plan, and that most of

I might be misunderstanding stuff here, but there seem to be a lot of

As far as I know, there is no porting to do, if the Om has linux, to

make install

Nice. So you'll only need a special cable do be able go charge and
usb-host at the same time?
As this cable is a custom one, might be an interesting addition to the
openmoko store that was being discussed on some other thread, so
hardware-challenged people like me can purchase it.

On Wed,
I think this is a very good observation.
If you want to connect a neo to some usb device(s) for long periods of
time it would be very important to be able to charge it (otherwise it
will just run dry very fast).
Anyone know if you can?

I think it's cool anyways. Since the code is pretty small it can be
used as an example.
Also, since OM doesn't use qtopia as default, it would be nice if we
had a gtk version of qtopia's keyboard (if integration is not
possible).

I think the original poster thought that it was a list of linux phones (as
it includes the Neo and the Greenphone), but it obviously isn't, because
obviously those Sony Ericsson phones don't use linux, some of them are
pretty old, like the (sony) ericsson T39.
Also, in front of those phones
that the screen could be controlled by the music app so it would
turn off after a while, or at least turn off the backlight.
Thanks,
