Somebody on the IRC channel earlier was saying shipping is slated for the 16th. AFAIK, ship dates have not been confirmed by anyone from FIC/OpenMoko. Last we heard, the phones were in customs as they were being air-mailed to California. From there, they are supposed to be distributed. -Jason

Vicente, It is believed that the developer version (due to be released today) will be available world-wide. The phone is un-locked, un-subsidized, so it is not linked to any carrier. You should be able to use it with any GSM provider by simply inserting an active SIM card. Hope this helps.
