Does anyone remember who was assigned to work on glamo while openmoko was
still developing software?
I'm trying to round up some of the old crew to see if I can gather some
knowledge and possibly some code to help get the glamo working as intended.
I have already contacted koolu and am waiting
So... what you guys are telling me is nothing has changed since the beginning
of september?
Is it at least faster than it was before? I remember everything would take
forever to load, even the terminal.

That would happen with mine all the time too. Turns out all you have to do to
recover from it is put it back into sleep mode and try again. It usually
takes me 5 or 6 tries to get rid of the wsod.

I tried your suggestion but that got me nowhere fast lol.
Maybe I'm just not smart enough to get it working through commands.
Are there any distro's that already have some apps to do that for me?
Unfortunately, bluetooth calling support is preset but woefully inadequate.
SHR will use it, but
Nope. Bluetooth is quite experimental at this stage. Apparently, the devs
didn't realize people wanted BT support, so they never finished it. I've
been rallying the ranks trying to make it quite clear that we do, indeed,
want good bluetooth support. In the mean time, it's functional, but not
I'm going by what the wiki says where a bluetooth headset should bypass the

I'm hoping that since the buzz is caused by interference from the gsm chip,
using a digital recording device should resolve the issue. I was even

I was wondering which distro would be best for day to day use. Currently I'm
using om2009 but I don't know if that will allow me to use the headset that
I bought today. I don't want to have to use qtopia but I will if I have to.
Can anyone out there help me?

Hey, I live in the lower mainland as well. I have om2009 installed and I can
send and receive text messages just fine. I don't do actual calls yet
because I don't have the buzzfix, but if you're in the area I can let you
test out my phone to see if you like it. The battery lasts about a day, most
FYI (in case you weren't aware) you can get the buzz fix from SDG Systems
if the

you get a battery for your trouble.
Yeah I'm aware but thanks for the heads up though. I just don't want to give

Just noticed on the server. I'm going to try it out right now.

The image doesn't work for me.
I'm using the daily u-boot build from yesterday, and the latest android
rootfs and kernel.
I have tried it with 2 different sd cards, a 256, and a 2gb both formatted
with a 50mb fat16 and the rest ext2.
it just sits at a black screen, I've waited over 20 minutes
i was wondering if there is a pre-made debian image available that I can copy
directly to my memory card.
All I can find are guides on installing it through an existing OS on my
phone but I can't connect my phone to my computer (for internet, ssh)
because the xp driver doesn't work.

I tried formatting the sd card as ext3 and it didn't work. But it worked
after i made 2 partitions, both ext3.
