Some confusion here... HD20 has become a generic term. HD meaning Hard Drive. The first were set up for the Mac 512 that did not have a SCSI port (except for third party upgrades) they operate just like a large external floppy drive. You could use one with a Plus but it would not make

The 1990s drives are more reliable and do not use so much power. Definitely agree. The best ones, in my opinion are either the Conner drives or the Quantums marked ©1990 next to the Apple logo on the sticker. Many also say EPROM on them somewhere. I've found the big factor with deciding between

Many hard drive problems are caused by heat. In fact our Mac Plus computers at Illinois Bell had many failures until we did too things. 1. We added the Kensington System Savers to all of the Macs, and 2. We instructed the staff to properly shut down their computers at the end of each work

AFAIK, the Oregon Trail version that was released for the compact Macs didn't have sound aside from when you shoot bullets in the Hunting mini-game. If you're not hearing sound here, turn your volume up. :) It was present even in version 1.0 Otherwise, the game is silent. There was no
