fo rit though as I mentioned resqueing it from a dumpster. I like ot

Count me in! Bringing home ancient Macs and switching them on for the first
time are special moments. Will it work? Can it be fixed? What's on that
drive? Do I like the foundling in the end? Will it be given away or will
get a
, despite having been in storage for the better
part of a decade in some cases.
my point being that if you walk or drive by a dumpster, it's worth at least a casual
look.

I heard a nasty rumour the other day that you can put things _into_ skips
(as we call them in the UK). Decided it was just someone trying to wind me

I have found some of my best Mac items at a local flemarket (in Valencia,
Spain) which, in most cases, gets its goodies from the dumpster... I got a
semi-working ColorSync 20 monitor (it just needed a resistor replaced and
a solder joint redone) for 40
