Or, what do you think about the following idea: Make it a "pair-go event" with 2 strong humans versus 2 strong go programs (+ handicap). For the computer team, for instance the two best commercial programs MFoG and Leela (on standard hardware) might be suitable candidates. At least such an event would be a "first". Just my 1.5 cent.
