Special thanks to Jon for his frame option; to Tom for getting to the basics; and to Tony for a laugh that the whole thing will fail (this is a given, I believe, mostly because of what he notes: what if no one is manning the phones or desk when a specific event occurs) and a second laugh about a security nightmare -- of of which is likely and true.

I am fairly confident I can persuade them to spring for a program such as Contribute, but not without due diligence first. I appreciate all the feedback.

Ay, there's the rub. Do they want the cheapest solution that employs a multi-step procedure, which will probably lead to failure, or can they be persuaded to spend a few dollars to make the job fast and easy?
