No. MAC addresses can be sniffed in network traffic and spoofed. Not sure
anything is bulletproof. It's just a matter of how important the info is
and how bad someone wants to get in.

Thanks to all those who replied to my previous question. I have the HP 930C
printer. I don't need color, the color cartridge is expensive. Is there
anyway to get it to work w/o the color cartridge. Thanks for any replys.
I admit it...you are right. Macworld lied...computerworld...dozens of news
organizations lied. MS paid big for this one. I take it all back.

I have had no problem at all with printer switching. My default
printer is a networked printer at work.
When I am home I have to designate another printer so I can print
otherwise it still defaults to the work printer.

The problem is, a LOT of the windows vulnerabilities require exactly the

I also run Mac OS 9, but I run it as Classic on my Mac OS 10.4.9 G5

Mac OS 9 Forever!!
Under Classic I run FileMaker Pro, ver. 3.0v5, copyright 1984-1999.

I use a Brother laser printer. (It works with all our Macs - both those

You don't mention a budget Terry. Printer recommendations would need to take
your printing requirements and budget into account.
The Xerox Phaser 8550 DP is my current printer, and I really love it. It uses
hot wax technology rather than print. Black White Color. Not cheap to
purchase, but
