v. Nixon the President accepts that the courts are supreme in their application of the Constitution to the case before it, even when there is a dispute between the President and the Court over the Constitution. When this became accepted, I don't know, but I am confident that Jefferson and Jackson would have reacted differently from Truman and Nixon. Bill Funk Lewis Clark Law School
