I just wondering if somebody successfuly running Gatos on LM 7.2?
What do I need to get it working?
Compile instructions on Gatos site are very confusing, and I don't know if I
missed some components when was compiling it. At least, compiled Gatos
doesn't work for me...
My hardware:
I installed both Glide_V3-devel and Glide_V2-devel (--force) before compiling
latest XFree.
But, for some reason, it doesn't help. XFree SRPM just reject to install
(and doesn't display any special *requirement* for additional packages to be
installed)
I have standard, *stock* LM 7.2
XFree-4.0.2 doesn't run on my alpha. The last 4.0.1za versions worked
fine though. This is the output I'm getting when I run "startx".
The alpha (miata) has a 4Mb Matrox Millienium II card in it... The
problem probably lies in the mga_drv.o module (see the error messages
below):

I got a small problem with 4.0.2 and my SiS 6326 card. When i start X the screen go's
all black and stays that way until i do a quick move to console and back were i then
find everything ok.
I finally got it installed using the --no-scripts option for rpm, but
this turned out to be a bad thing, and many of my other installed
programs refused to work. One thing I didn't try was upgrading to rpm
4.0 first.

It works but you need to use the package from LM7.1 eg gatos *-303mdk.
