I also am unsure if 4.2 is stable enough to ship. I have been able to work out most of my X related problems on my Dell Inspiron 8000 by disabling dri, but I had fewer visable issues with dri in the 4.1 series. Personally, I think that Mandrake should err on the side of caution for some of these
