Hi all

Saw some traffic on this list about our announcement of SuperCerts.

Yes, we have a full SGC licence, and have only been waiting for browser
revisions to be released that recognized our certs for 128-bit sessions.
Nav 4.7 and MSIE 5.01 now do this, hence our announcement.

Our licence covers any SGC-compliant web server, including open source
and non-US implementations, which is unusual. In terms of the sorts of
customers we can issue to, we're in the same boat as VeriSign:

  - US merchants
  - Foreign subsidiaries of US merchants
  - Health/medical companies
  - Online merchants (this is the broadest category but has some
restrictions)
  - Banks and Financial Institutions

We're also hoping that the liberalization of export policy announced in
September will really happen, and that we'd be able to issue these
certificates more broadly then.

Cheers,
