things, you can go to The Philosophy News Service @

and seek out articles explaining his perspective. I might add that the last
ReichsChancellor seems to be having a later (if not last) laugh in many
respects (regarding this and the SuperEuroState). As societies grow larger,
they must be managed or tended ... is genetic engineering of crops and
livestock just the tip of the paradigm shift? A<>E<>R

Clinton’s New Humanity: Youthanasia?
Michael Savage
January 31, 2000 Are you as outraged as I am that Bill Clinton would attend a
seminar in Switzerland where Prof. Peter Singer, distinguished scholar at
"Youthanasia" U. (Princeton University), was among the honored speakers? Singer
is distinguished not so much for studies in euthanasia, the "mercy" killing of
the elderly, but for his advocacy of "youthanasia,” the killing of handicapped
youth, in former times known as infanticide.
Our present-day Pied Piper’s learned topic was "Health Care: What Is the Value
of a Life?" In a nutshell, the value of a life, it seems, is high for him and
his liberal elite, but low, that is, nil, for the handicapped – the rest of us
falling somewhere in between. He has also written a book, "Practical Ethics,"
on the blessings of eradicating handicapped children.
None of this has gone unnoticed. In fact, Singer has armed guards when he
conducts class to protect him from the rage of those who value life, even the
lives, or especially the lives, of the helpless and suffering. For this,
Princeton, that most enlightened of institutions, made Singer a tenured
professor at the university’s (get this!) Center for Human Values. Maybe next
he’ll be awarded the Nobel Prize for his remedy for world suffering, namely,
the mercy killing of all "nonviable" specimens. But haven’t we heard all this
before, fifty-some years ago – Death Camps for the "misfits"? I think some of
them still exist in China, Korea, and elsewhere.
Bizarrely, Herr Doktor Singer is the offspring of a Holocaust survivor! Not
only that, he’s a clean liver: no meat, no leather clothing. He doesn’t even
smoke or drink. But that mustn’t detract us; for Adolf Hitler himself was a
vegetarian, a teetotaler and a nonsmoker. He hated for animals to suffer but
had no problem watching his human victims hung by the neck from piano wires on
telephone poles. Hitler might be seen as the grandfather of the "animal rights"
movement! In any case, Singer is in familiar company along with his other
vegetarian, animal-rights fanatics – whose mantra is "people bad, animals
good."
In "Animal Liberation," an earlier book of his, Singer argues that the life of
a person is not necessarily more valuable than that of an animal! This led to
the founding of PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals).
No doubt, this recommends Singer for membership in Clinton’s exclusive New
World Order. By attending the seminar maybe the president wanted helpful
pointers for things to come. Or, did he attend as a critical observer of the
deranged workings of Singer’s mind? "I think it’s a good thing to stimulate
people to think," Singer said.
So far, however, "Kiddie Care" Bill hasn’t condemned Singer’s views on flawed-
child extermination. Or, if he didn’t know in advance what these views were,
where is the apology for this latest, horrific "snafu"? Granted the meeting in
Switzerland was primarily about world economics. But haven’t other public
figures been massacred by the media for attending functions when "vast right
wingers" happened to be present?
The Consortium of Citizens with Disabilities, an organization for the rights of
the handicapped, should write a protest letter to Pres. Clinton like they did
to Pres. Shapiro of Princeton: "Our view [is] that the dangerous and barbaric
views of Peter Singer regarding infants with disabilities has absolutely no
place in American society or academia. . . . They are bigoted, hateful and fly
in the face of everything our society and our national policy seek for our
constituency." This is no academic, professorial debate on the part of these
people. They fear for their lives.
In truth, maybe we should all fear for our lives. Have you had your I.Q.
examined lately? I haven’t. Or have you run the obstacle course recently,
recited numbers backwards, looked at inkblots, or multiplied figures without
your calculator? Don’t! Maybe some of us wouldn’t pass Herr Doktor Singer’s
"normalcy" tests.
I once wrote that "Vac’m in the Vulva" Barbara Boxer was the reincarnation of
Adolf Mengele in drag, the Nazi Angel of Death. I meant it. I think he has now
slithered himself into "Kill the Flawed Kids" Singer as well. Does this sound
ugly and grotesque? It is. The spirit of Dr. Mengele chooses his hosts with
great skill, without reverence for niceties or good taste.
The spirit of Mengele knows well to start at the weakest point and work from
there – with Clinton, Singer, Boxer or any other willing host. From bringing us
to destroy the "deformed" at birth, the "accidents" of lust, or the objects of
hatred, he fans out until no one is safe and it’s too late to turn back. He is
the destroyer.
Clinton’s seminar presenter Dr. Singer writes this: ". . . We must balance the
tangible harm to which the traditional ethic gives rise – harm to those whose
misery is needlessly prolonged." The Nazis killed their handicapped also "to
spare them misery."
Clinton owes the world an apology for attending this meeting in Switzerland.
How would the old media elites play the story if it had been Newt Gingrich in
Switzerland attending a conference where this kind of Nazi philosophy was
discussed?
