My idea to protest the presidential election by voting for yourself may be an idea whose time will never come. It's a disappointment. However, if somewhere down the road you want to discuss the issue just let me know. For now, we'll talk about areas upon which we agree.
The best way we can organize our talents and ablities to work for common good is to accent the areas upon which we find agreement. Focusing on the ideas we don't share will ensure that nothing will be accomplished.
Let's, for a moment (or two) focus on the presidential election and the areas where the candidates are the same. Isn't it fascinating, in the midst of this heated campaign, to look at the Kerry/Bush consensus. What are the ideas that John Kerry and George W. Bush have in common? I know that they are both members of the Skull and Bones Society and I know that they both were part of the conspiracy that led to this war in Iraq. (let me interrupt myself to remind my friends who are rationalizing their way to a Kerry vote, despite his pro-war voting record and his promise to "hunt down the terroritsts and kill them, " that one day if you feel like talking about it, I'll be here waiting)
I've been voting since 1966. A number of times over the years I've contributed money to candidates and have even volunteered to work on a campaign or two.
But now things are different for me. I just can no longer vote for the lesser of evil. No matter the degree of "lesser" ...it's still voting for evil. I've rationalized it in the past, but I can no longer fool myself. It is now time for me to realize that I would rather vote for what I wan t and not get it, than to vote for what I don't want and get it.
In this election what I want most is representation. I want to vote for someone who most closely represents my beliefs and my interests. I don't think that is an outrageous expectation , do you?
It is time for me to take individual responsibility for every part of my life. If I am going to delegate authority to an elected official to be my voice, that person better share my ethics. All I am asking is for the candidate to be honest and concerned with the common good.
And so, a candidate who is for this war, and an active participant in the 9-11 coverup has not earned my vote. I should also add that a candidate who is a member of the Skull and Bones Society won't get my vote either.
When I began to read about Skull and Bones Society, I not only learned about John Kerry and George W. Bush, but I also learned about William Sloane Coffin. I was stunned.
In the sixties I respected Reverend Coffin from Riverside Church for his work as a leader in the anti-war movement. In a lot of ways he was like John Kerry to me. I thought they were both people who I felt that they had taken a principled stand against an immoral and illegal war. What I didn't know, at the time, was that they both members of the Skull and Bones Society. The only difference was that Kerry was a member before he went to Vietnam, and Coffin was a member after he had already served as a military intelligence officer and General Patton's interpreter, but before he went to work for the CIA.
All of these Bonesman have such interesting resumes. Bonesmen both create wars and lead the opposition to them.
I reflected upon the reality of what I had learned and it became clear to me that there was only one solution The candidates had given me no choice. I was going to have to vote for myself. I concluded that it was essential to share my ideas.... to spread the word.
As I talked to people, I kept up with my research and learned more than I thought was possible about the Bush family. His grandfather Prescott and his great-grandfather George Herbert Walker were war profiteers, actual business partners of the Nazis. The Bush family and their cohorts were doing business with the Nazis during World War II, long after the United States had already entered the war. George Herbert Walker Bush, known both as "41" and Poppy was a two-term Congressman from Texas. He also served as Ambassador to the United Nations, Chairman of the Republican National Committee, Chief of the U. S. Liaison Office in the People's Republic of China, and Director of the Central Intelligence Agency all before becoming President of the United States. All of them, Prescott, G H. Walker, Poppy and W had something in common; they each had become members of the Skull and Bones Society following their junior year at Yale University.
I was in Washington when John Kerry and the other heroic vets threw their medals over the wall. I remember that we were in D.C. for a number of days before sleeping on the floor of a church. I even saw Kerry there and spoke with him. (It was amazing how much "Forrest Gump" captured the feel of that event.)
But that was a long time ago. Now there seems to be more footage of John Kerry in Vietnam than General Westmorland. I wonder if the fact that John Kerry had been tapped for Skull and Bones way before enlisted to go to Vietnam has anything to do with this. Is this conspiracy theory or is it conspiracy fact?
I've said it before and it looks like I'm about to say it again. There are 294 million people currently living in the United States and we get as our two major candidates for president, members of the same secret society. In the history of the United States there hasn't ever been a Presidential election that has two Catholics running against each other and there over 50 million Catholics in the United States, but we are supposed to accept it as normal that a secret society with less than 800 living members worldwide was just lucky to have both candidates as active members.
When I was watching Howard Dean's amazing campaign for the Democratic nomination, and researching the murderous past of Wesley Clark (Michael Moore's original candidate), I had totally written off John Kerry as the potential candidate. I didn't see how this wooden "Herman Munster" would ever be the nominee. How foolish of me.
Recently, I watched Tim Russert with Tom Brokaw discuss the extremely close election. Russert mentioned that we never expected it to be even or that it would be dead even in the battleground states. I wondered what he meant by "we." I could have told him that and I am just a guy with a PC. If I can see that this year's election is unfoldling like a network reality show, than why do the political pundits ACT surprised ?
Here is the premise of this new reality show; we follow the adventures of two men, both members of the same secret society who've captured the major party nominations. Their goal is to make us believe that they are different from each other. It does't really matter which one wins, it just is essential that we think it matters.
Now supposedly there aren't scripts to these reality shows. However, it feels as if I have already read a script. I believe that this "event" will be played right down to the wire, like any good pro wrestling program on television. It will be close but I predict that John Kerry will win big, bigger than expected and that the credit for his election will be given to the vast turnout of new voters who overwhelmingly went for Kerry. This is the so-called cell phone vote. (young people whose primary telephone is cellular and therefore not contacted by the pollsters) And yet, there will be little awareness of the candidate whom they voted into office.
This scenario will be a lot easier to sell than the ridiculous Marx Brothers script that was used during the last election and that went over big. Remember, all that foolishness took place before September 11th 2001.
Some people are referring to September 11th as phase two. There aren't too many other reality shows that include the theft of a presidential election in its itinerary. After you steal the election all you have to do is create another Pearl Harbor and then begin war in Afghanistan as the prelude to war in Iraq. It's more like an unreality show.
People are gullible. They refuse to believe the 2000 election wast stolen. If they can accept that lie, then they can believe that the 9-11 attacks were carried out by 19 Arabs with box cutters.
I want to know the truth about 9-11. I don't think I have an ideology or belief system that is invested in anything that will prevent me from finding the truth. However it takes work to see the truth. George W. Bush and John Kerry, have both been lying to me about 9-11. How can I vote for either of them? How can I vote for a man who has turned his back on one of the greatest tragedies to ever befall this land?
I've likened the current election to 1964. The only difference is that in this election both candidates are Lyndon Johnson . In 1964 LBJ was the "peace" candidate. As soon as he was elected he escalated the war. John Kerry started out in this campaign as a "Herman Munster" but somehow; remarkably, he has been transformed before our eyes into a modern Abraham Lincoln. It's amazing what you can accomplish when you hold a debate without an opponent present.
My fear is that when John Kerry becomes president he will be another Lyndon Baines Johnson escalating the war and reintroducing the draft.
I want to look forward but I have to look backward as well. It is clear to me that one of the functions of the "vast righwing conspiracy" and its attack on Clinton was to neutralize the left.
With all the repugnant acts that Clinton undertook, there should have been signficant response from the left but there were none. It wasn't because he was a Democrat. When the left saw who was "attacking" Clinton they became his ally.
I see the same sce nario unfolding with a Kerry presidency. The left, which has now moved from "anybody but Bush" through "rooting" for Kerry to now "loving" Kerry, will be become self-neutered when Kerry is attacked from his right. It is a a well-crafted strategy. It has worked before and I'm afraid it will work now.
Therefore, my laughable attempt to get people to cast the ultimate protest vote by voting for themselves, is unfortunately, an idea whose time hasn't come.
I'm going to keep www.voteforyouself.org active, because in 2008 when you find your options are John Kerry v. Jeb Bush, or Hillary Clinton v. Jeb Bush you might want to consider the voting for yourself option a bit more seriously.
