VENICE, Sat. - A Catholic monk claims this is an actual photograph of Christ at Calvary. The monk, Fr. Pellegrino Ernetti, claims to have used a time machine of his own invention to create the photograph. Fr. Ernetti is a distinguished professor of music at the Abbey of St. George in Venice and has been engaged for years in secret work on electronics. He said this week: "I am very pleased with the picture. The time will come when I shall be able to say more." Britain's largest Catholic weekly newspaper, The Universe has described the picture as "strange". Fr. Ernetti says: "In the Fourth Century BC, Pythagoreans expanded the idea that all sound ever made, every musical note struck, every cry, every uttered word, every leaf rustle is energy and is never lost but floats in space. "Therefore, theoretically, it can be captured and pictures can be made from sounds." Previously he has used his machine to create pictures of Pope Pius XII and Mussolini.
