Sex crimes A UN police officer from Pakistan and three local men have been arrested on charges of sex crimes involving children in Kosovo, officials disclosed yesterday. The UN officer, who was not identified further, and the three locals were arrested earlier this week, said Barry Fletcher, spokesman for the UN police force in Kosovo, who characterized the alleged crimes as "very serious." The officer was stripped of the immunity that UN personnel generally enjoy in Kosovo and was released on bail, Fletcher said. He said all four suspects would be tried in Kosovo. Turkey says Iraq oil pipeline was sabotaged
ANKARA (AFP) - Turkey''s Foreign Minister Abdullah Gul said yesterday that the main pipeline supplying oil from northern Iraq had been sabotaged, after local residents reported bomb attacks that set fires blazing. ""Unfortunately there was sabotage there. Right now there''s an investigation, but we haven''t yet had a report as to the size and dimensions of the problem,"" Gul told reporters here.
