-Caveat Lector-

This is a fairly plausible argument - and it seems quite realistic at first:
UFO's are here and uncle sam is building them and will sort out them pesky
commies with our death rays so don't bother building any nasty weapons
because we're too advanced
and thats why Intel backed 'disclosure' talks about back engineering.

Then we realise that it makes appeal to the popular understanding of the
status quo - the type of understanding of military and global command
structures that we see in Hollywood Blockbuster epics like independence
day - where the president doesn't know about area 51 and then fires the head
of american security for being naughty etc
Its as if the balance of power on this planet really resides with the
decisions of 4 star generals.
We all know that its far more complex than that.
The ruling elite on this planet simply are NOT nation states like amerika or
germany or UK or china - for these nations are merely impoverished street
traders compared to the Global Multinationals that run the planet - and
these corporations are not about to destroy their own globally distributed
manufacturing base and labour pool with nukes without some excellent
reason - eg. population cull

Indeed some of us see the evidence for various species living amongst us,
and under the earth and above it as proof that we definitely don't have any
idea as to how this planet is really being run.
But we continue to be amused and entertained by NASA using petrochemical
launch vehicles, and listening to SETI discuss what kind of radio programmes
the ETs would use.
In that context - seeing human national military as being an executive part
of any equation to do with the future destiny of this planet is a bit
presumptuous - UFOs in the 1950s were turning up at missile silos and
switching them off.
So what do we really want from the Disclosure Project - what do we want them
to disclose - who do we need them to convince - and in fact why bother - for
several decades of government lies and deceit have taught us all at least ON
E THING - it is not in the best interests of Multinational Corporations that
the average human being should get to legitimise ANY relationship with a
Non-Human - the reason is OBVIOUS - said non-human could supply advanced
technology to poor old joe bloggs giving him the means to alter the balance
of power and profits on this planet - a risk that the greedy corporations
cannot countenance.

Certainly no 'aliens' have come out to make a Public and Formal approach as
yet - and its probably true that the corporations that finance earths
infrastructure will wish to postpone that event for a long long time.
