I was sorry to see that some think that because catastrophe didn't strike
world wide that they are experiencing a 'let down.' This is odd. I have
never felt at home with the 20th century, and maybe will like the 21st even
less, but on no regard do I dislike it enough to wish millions to suffer and
probably die, in order to change it.
This country needs to remade closer to the needs of our people, not the
greeds of ultra-national corperations and if disorder resulted from
infrastructure failure, that would be the only possible good that could come
from a disaster, but it does not follow that the disaster was necessary or
good in itself. If we have 'over'prepared, then we should feel that we did
what we felt spirit needed us to do. The world is a very dangerous place
and getting more so not less, so our preparations might serve a larger
purpose than we know at the present time.
Personally, I felt bound to make certain preparations and in doing so
have brought a greater degree of self sufficency and safty to my family. I
am extremely greatful to those that tirelessly helped me in that direction.
I could not have done it without them. But, in no way, will I chose to let
go of the hedge I feel my family needs. Dangers are everywhere. If a
bullet missed our heads by inches; it would be stupid to conclude either we
were invincible or that we were not under attack.
It was unprecidented cooperation among nations that avoided certain
difficulities. Often this was done by 'windowing', putting the clocks back,
manuel work-arounds, digital ducktape of one kind or another. This means a
large part of the world did not correct the y2k bug, but postponed dealing
with it. But this was all to the good, in the sense that large sectors of
power did not go out all at once. And it means that the 'bugs' can be fixed
at a more leasurily pace and breakdowns are likly to be more isolated
therefore eaiser to fix.
The local electric company has been running their computers on a date 3
or 4 months ahead of real time. This means that sometime in March perhaps,
the clocks will have to be corrected. Better then than now. A power outage
in March will not be so devestating (to our psychie anyway) as it would have
been on New Years; that is, if it happens at all.
It is the personal ego that gets hurt when things do not turn out as it
planned and it wants to assign blame. If the personal ego was not so
involved in our lives then we would not feel hurt when we expect sunshine,
but get rain. This is the reason and the great test of our spiritual
growth. Can we let go and let God deal with the world? If the spirit is
leading us, then what we did or do will be perfect for us and others whether
we can tell this or not at present. We trust the processes and intuitions
that work in us. If it was stictly personal ego, then, well, anything that
happens either causes it to gloat or to be disappointed to death. It is to
put this 'ego' in its subordinate position to the spirit, this and only this
will leave us with freedom and peace.

P.S. Certain dangers and trying circumstances do lie ahead. We should
be better prepared to wither these storms. It is extremely difficult to say
'when' this or that will befall mankind, and it is difficult to predict
accurately the severity of events, because (being astral) they can be
modified by prayer, mantras, spiritual work and correct physical action. It
is foolish to think that prayers, spirit work of all kinds did not have a
mitagating effect. It is like going to a healer, our diease turns out to be
less and eventually recedes. Are we to conclude that our disease that we
thought we had was a delusion? Is it not more correct to give credit to
where it is due; that is, we have been spared an overwhelming tradagy due to
the work of our spiritual and material benefactors?
