I don't really know anything about xfig, so perhaps you can clarify a few things for me?
I want to add some components to the default xfig libraries. I want to put them where they'd ultimately go (/usr/lib/xfig/Libraries/newstuffdir)
Are you asking if that path is correct (it seems to be)? Or are you asking how to discover that path programmatically?
$XFIGLIBDIR is not set.
