Tom Counsell and I are writing a Mac OS X GUI for darcs, and it
stores some data in _darcs/third_party/patchworks (based on the same
suggestion). I'm happy with the idea, but there should probably be a
wiki page so we can be sure that projects do not use the same
directories.
