[datameet] Polling booth data for general elections

2024-01-30 Thread Anand Katakam
Hello,

Does anyone know where we can find data on the locations of polling booths
for the general elections?

Have tried looking by state but haven't really found anything conclusive.

Any leads would be greatly appreciated.

Best,

Anand

[datameet] List of Police Stations in India

2024-01-30 Thread Sudarshan RSA
Hi everyone,

I'm Sudarshan, a student of economics. For a research paper, I am looking
for data on the location of all police stations across India. How do I go
about gathering this? Ideally, I would like latitude and longitude for
each. If I am to ping some api - which would be the best to ping?

Please help. Thank you.

Sincerely,
Sudarshan

Re: [External Email] [datameet] State/Central Govt Directory and Civil List

2024-01-30 Thread Vaibhav Rathi
Hi Shiv,

Yes, I also have that data but If I am right, it doesn't have rich enough
geographical information ( for eg, district of posting). Further, it
doesnt have data for State Civil services.

Are you aware of any other data repo that at least has a district of
posting for all IAS?

Thanks a lot.

Re: [External Email] [datameet] Re: India 2001 census data village-wise

2024-01-30 Thread Nadine K.J.
Hi Shiv,

Thank you so much!

Is it also possible to obtain the rural_population per district? (I recall
that Census displays also the breakdown of urban/rural population)

Kind regards,
Nadine
