I was hoping that someone could help me ID the following chink of music:
Came labeled: Bob Weir, Jerry Garcia, John Cippolina, Pete Sears -
No date. Pedal steel, piano, a couple guitars. Weir sings lead vocals
mostly. (times approx) - no crowd noise; sounds like studio rehearsal.
1. The Race
The radio host is Richard Gossett, by the way.
Pete Sears was a guest on my show recently, and he was talking about
that tape. I'll see if I can get some details from him. And if your
tape is in good shape, I think Pete would like a copy.

checking out CDs of this date at the Matrix courtesy of Bill Gadsden. Turns
out to feature Jerry playing banjo on at least one tune (Henry). Nice vibe
to the show, relaxed, no show biz. Only known instance of live Garcia banjo
between 64 73, I do believe.
