What all is required to get etnaviv going?, from what I believe its still
not mainline kernel ( yet ) .. is there a patch or something in testing

I installed stretch on my cubox-i4pro with the Debian installer (update from
jessie to stretch) and was happy that I got console output on the HDMI
interface on a standard Debian installation (and wireless after adding the
brcm firmware).
Then dmesg showed that etnaviv is present
