Hi,
This package Depends on gdm3 which has been Linux-specific for many years,
and as of 3.8.4-8.1 no longer builds on any non-Linux architecture.
Is gdm3 really the only way to use xfswitch-plugin? If that is so, please
adjust the Architecture field

Hi,
This package is Linux-specific (and as of 3.8.4-8.1 properly marked as

Please could remove associated binaries from the archive?

Thanks!

Hi,
This package Depends on gdm3, I assume because it interacts with it in
intimate ways (switch user button?).
However, it seems that even if gdm3 might be a better choice for GNOME
users, gnome-shell is still usable without. I force

On GNU/kFreeBSD, gdm3 gets stuck after typing login credentials. Note
that this doesn't happen when auto-login has been enabled (in which
case gdm3 works fine).

Yeah, I ran into that gdm3/gdm-session-worker issue, too, after
removing gdm from my kfreebsd demo box at FOSDEM due to v

xdm works well, but it lacks few usefull functions.
Take look at
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/pkgreport.cgi?pkg=gdm3;dist=unstable
and check if there is not bug about this problem already.

A new version of gdm3 has just reached testing taking gdm3 from version
2.30.2-4 to version 2.30.5-4. Now on kfreebsd (i386 and amd64) gdm3
works and no longer has this bug.

On gdm3 start, or restart, only a black screen is displayed with an X
shaped X cursor with the cursor moveable. If I try to change to a
console VT then this appears to trigger a new X session to start and
this is displayed rather than the console VT. This new X session is also
