Hi Roland,
About 2 years ago, you reported a bug to the Debian BTS about a crash of
the X server on a sparc machine. You reproduced the bug with both
Xfree86 4.3.0 and Ubuntu Hoary Xorg. Did you reproduce this problem on a
recent Debian system? If not, I will close the bug in the next weeks.

Hi Richard,

patch which could not be applied because of licensing issues. Did you

Bind version 8, as shipped in Debian, still runs as superuser by default.
Since Bind version 9 does not do so any longer (#149059), and has been
shipped with a non-root default for quite some time already (almost 4 years!)
isn't it time bind8 was changed too?

I'm able to consistently reproduce this by hitting the spacebar on amd64.

I installed automake (1:1.10+nogfdl-1) and purged automake1.9, and was
left with broken alternatives (for at least aclocal, I didn't check
all of them).
Reinstalling automake1.9, running update-alternatives to select 1.10,
then purging again made it work.
