On my system, it seems to be attempting to remove all packages that have
the "c" second character status in dpkg -l. Unfortunately, this
includes packages such as "locales" which I think
Samba's tests.
I don't know if there is a good fix for this actually.

i noticed that `calendar` reports:

cf. `/usr/share/calendar/calendar.usholiday`.
it appears that while the first observance was celebrated on March 5,
1934[1] it is currently the fourth Sunday in

package or Alternatives mechanism, maybe.
