Yes. I tried entering an incorrect passphrase again and it did prompt
a second time, so it must not have been related.
I believe my system is affected by this issue. I have tried the
workaround posted by Jayson Willson. It seems to help sometimes, but
I believe there is still a race condition. Most often, the system
waits for me to enter a passphrase. I have seen it wait for several
minutes without
ertainly like to see that patch included in stable. Should I send a
message to that bug as well?
Changes to stable aside, is there a configuration change I could make
to get the desired behavior?
Much thanks,

, but the
last several times I shut down, the culprits were:
* Monitoring of LVM2 mirrors
* Device Mapper event daemon
I have a number of lvm volumes, but I don't think I actually have any
mirrors. Can the first of these be disabled altogether?
Thanks,

Followup-For: Bug #244924
Dear Maintainer,
I'm seeing the exact behavior described in this bug, but the fix
described here doesn't work for me.
I installed debian testing from the weekly cd image last week.
I'm trying to copy a file to a remote host
Follow-up:
I downloaded and manually installed the openssh-client from wheezy,
openssh-client_6.0p1-4+deb7u2_amd64.deb, and it works for me with no
other changes.
