Inspection of the source reveals bidentd uses /proc/net/ip_conntrack

These files have long been removed from Linux.
I believe bidentd thus cannot work at all and propose its removal.

Hi Eugene,
could you please try again with:
util-linux 2.40.1-1
glibc 2.38-7 or newer
and report back, if the problem is fixed for you?
The newer util-linux is rebuilt against the fixed glibc, so it
hopefully is now fine. It might be necessary to delete your old
utmp/lastlog files tho.

Dear util-linux@,
in Debian, udisks2 2.10.1-6 (autopkg-)tests fail with util-linux
2.40, but passed with 2.39. We are not yet sure if this is directly
caused by util-linux, but it seems somewhat likely.

Fellow Developers,
you are probably aware of the time_t-64bit migration :-)
However, this does not magically transition all data formats to 64bit
times. One such instance is the set of utmp/wtmp and lastlog files.

Hi,
please schedule binNMUs for these source packages to transition back
from libuuid1t64 to libuuid1. Note that I've built this list based
on the amd64 Packages file. I'm not sure if skipping armel, armhf
would be helpful or not at this time.
The notable thing is e2fsprogs on archs where the

dpkg has turned on -Werror=implicit-function-declaration on some
archs (compare #1065371 and the earlier bug requesting this). This
in turn causes lintian's autopkgtests to fail on armel, armhf and
maybe others, like this:

Hi,
2.2.3-1 in unstable still installs a lot of files outside of /usr.

I'm sure it ain't news to you that this is upstream's behaviour.
IIRC done/necessary for compatibility reasons.
If you care enough, please report upstream and see if they want to
change it.
I consider this not a bug for the reasons above.

Hi,
I'd like to ask you to investigate installing files into /usr, where
they curently are installed into /bin, /lib, or /sbin. This would
help us finishing the /usr-move transition (aka DEP17) for trixie.
I'm filing this bug now, as

Hi,
we want to finish the move to /usr in trixie via DEP17. For this
dosfstools should move its /sbin-binaries into /usr/sbin.
I'll probably follow up with a patch soon.
