I just updated my Debian amd64 system from Buster to Bullseye as per

I have to admit I cut some corners and enabled backports and Fast Track and
did the update in one go.
All went well, short of the error discussed
This issue, or a similar one, seems to have reappeared in Buster.
My system is a HP ProBook 650. I installed Stretch a while ago, and then
upgraded to Buster as per instructions on Debian website.
After a while and a few security upgrades the system was unable to boot,
spewing out
error: symbol
effectively created an infinite loop.
Please fix this situation in a more proper fashion.

I realize this is an old bug. Anyways, I think it better to close this
one than to open a new one, at least if everything is OK now.
SDL sound is working great for me with Debian Wheesy. I am using
pulseadio on top of ALSA.
However, I noticed that SDL sound, i.e. sound from Gnash, appeared to

in the list of recommended or suggested packages. I stubled across
this package. I suppose installing it will reduce overhead when
playing sound from SDL through pulse.

Apparently, this bug has been marked as duplicate of bug #186198

I feel this is incorrect, as bug 186198 is a bug against gdm2, and
this bug (581841) is against gdm3.
gdm2 is functioning correctly with KDE 4, at least on my install
(Squeeze/Sid). dgm3
This bug still persists.
I have reported the bug upstream.
Please have a look at bug #245198 in KDE BTS

Please apply the patch to make KDE integrate with gdm3.
