it appears that a similar fix is required for those systems using amgtar
in place of tar.
The amgtar path must also point to /usr/bin/tar in order for amgtar to
be able to use /usr/bin/tar with amgtar's list of options.

please consider the LTS people and build us a gtk2 version of firefox.
