I boot multiple OS installs with a common /home partition, and have found it
best to maintain separate XDG configuration directories in $HOME, one for
each OS install. This prevents the desktop setting of each OS from

* What led up to the situation?
I experience 30 second startup delays for file browsing in Thunar. This occurs
the first time a file-browsing dialog box is opened in most
Package: dansguardian
Version: 2.8.0.6-antivirus-6.4.4.1-1
I created a logical volume for /tmp with lvm2 on etch, and rebooted so that the
new volume was mounted as /tmp.
Dansguardian startup failed with the error message:
Error binding ips server file...
All other daemons start all right, and
using sarge and dansguardian. The malfunctioning with apt appears to be
a regression relative to sarge.
I am running kernel 2.6.18-3-686 #1 SMP Mon Dec 4 16:41:14 UTC 2006 i686
The apt version is 0.6.46.4.

Hi scilab maintainer,
The current upstream version of scilab is 3.1.1, announced May 31. It contains
important new features, including new plotting functions and improved scicos
blocks. It would be nice to get this into unstable.

to be intended. I suggest removing atlas2-base from the system on which the
package is built, and solving whatever build problems come up, thereby
producing a package without this dependency.
