I have this problem on 8 embedded systems running armbian stretch that all
reports error like this on the systemd journal:

But the other video applications start showing a stream of green
duplicated images were I can only recognize part of the scene.
So suspect a initialization problem into the pwc.ko module.

the partition from that /dev/sdb disk and the
installed worked. Ah! So the bug seem to be related to a unusual
geometry of that disk.

not hurt the parted from squeeze, since there should
be compiled from the same code base ?

Please find in attachment my current proposition of patch. It remove the
obsolete -fgnu89-inline and use the same flags for build-udeb than for
build-deb to get the -O2 optimization.
This work, but I still don't understand why the code fail without
optimization.

the same exact problem
before giving this report from a i386 install. The machine is only 2
days old and run without problem Windows 7 and Meego 1.1, so no hardware
failure is expected.
