I have this problem as user and as root. I removed ~/.mc, purged and
reinstalled mc but no change.

When i try to remove a picture from the identitiy, kmail crashed with SIGSEGV
The bug is reproducible:
open kmail - settings - configure kmail - identitiy - edit - picture -
