and just for the record: the clamav signature file was apparently
updated (the previous version had a trailing newline) but not the gpg
signature. I contacted sanesecurity about it and they fixed the gpg
signature.

it the user needs to implement the dsa-wrap-nagios-check itself to use
the dsa-check-statusfile.
Attached patch against debian/42.20230308 of the nagios-plugins-contrib
source package works for me. Please consider inclusion.

Dear Maintainer,
when building packages with USE_PDEBUILD_INTERNAL='yes', ccache remains
unused. This is because the PATH environment variable is not preserved
when switching to the pbuser user. Attached patch works for me.
