Hello Benjamin,
You should be able to use systemd just once from your bootloader.
Here is a good start:
https://wiki.debian.org/systemd
Ok, quite easy in fact. Just did it and could connect using gdm3.
Thanks a lot!

Not sure what causes this problem at this point...

On a second machine I have the same issue. So this bug is not fixed.
The nvidia-uvm module is now found but I get the Invalid parameters
message on the two computers I have tested:
Any idea?

To be more precise here is the exact error message reported:

Just to say that I have the exact same problem with my sid installation.
The only workaround I found is to install lightdm which let me open a
gnome-shell session.

Benjamin,
I am thinking to try another DM (like, say, LightDM or SLiM). Will see
if the problem still occurs or not. I will let you know.
As reported earlier I have tested this and it works for me. I can
definitely connect to my gnome-shell session using lightdm.

that part of it is not built.

Hey,
Could you please still reproduce this issue with newer gnome-shell version
like 3.8.4-5+b1 ?
Tried 3 times, no freeze. Looks like it is fixed.
Thanks!

Same for me today. Just black screen, looks like a gdm3 issue.

Ok, found another thread about this issue.
It is fixed by installing libpam-systemd.

After some days of testing it seems that it is a bit better as it crash
only 50% (used to me more than 80%) of time during resume from suspend!
So there is still some issues with account services I fear!
