After installing sun-java5-jre and libgcj7-awt, I intended to run
ldapbrowser, using the command java -jre lbe.jar
The program starts opening, however exits immediately. In the console,
only Canceled is in output.

This bug takes place only in the case, that the keyboard switching is
done in xorg.conf by the lines:

If I don't use X-level keyboard switching, let only us XkbLayout, and
use GNOME

been replaced by icedove.
The icedove asks for profile selection after every start. The Mozilla
Thunderbird was never doing this. It is very annoying. Checking don't

I have rebooted the machine. Icedove still asks for profile. The default
one works well, however as You say, it should not do it..

I installed the package, however lbe.jar dosen't work. It works
seamlessly with original binary installer from Sun however.
The Debian's Java just spits bunch of errors:

Do a dpkg-reconfigure thunderbird and then choose gnome as browser
