I can no longer reproduce the problem. I don't know what
Hi,
unfortunately the bug is still not fixed despite the NMU; while sgdisk doesn't
print errors anymore, it also doesn't actually perform the requested operations.
See e.g.
# sgdisk --zap-all /dev/sda
Creating new GPT
I believe this is related to #1020446, and hopefully should be fixed with the
latest NMU, version 1.0.9-2.1.
Which was needed when "popt" plugged a memory leak.
It would be nice if someone could try the latest upload, and verify this issue
is fixed.

Håvard
Fixed in 1.0.9-2.1. currently still in incoming

From my investigations, the problem appeared after upgrading `libpopt0`.
Previously there was a symlink `libpopt.so.0 => libpopt.so.0.0.1` and sgdisk
worked well; now it's a `libpopt.so.0 => libpopt.so.0.0.1` and sgdisk fails.
Most probably, `gdisk`

I can confirm the bug.
Initially faced with it in sid-ports for riscv64 via qemu chroot (starting
since 2022-10-15), but it's also reproducable in sid.
```
# cat /etc/os-release
PRETTY_NAME="Debian GNU/Linux bookworm/sid"
NAME="Debian GNU/Linux"
VERSION_CODENAME=bookworm
ID=debian
Package: gdisk
Version: 1.0.9-2
Severity: normal
Dear Maintainer,
sgdisk produces only errors. It is not possible to backup the partition table,
for example.
sgdisk --backup=/tmp/gdisk.bin /dev/sda
