Hi Michael,
 
it looks like we have to accept that bug in systemd in Debian 11. I asked for help in the systemd GH issue tracker, but did not get any response. I have no idea about systemd code, so it would be a shot in the dark to look for any commits. I tried anyway, but I don't even know what to look for.

With bookworm having been released, this issue will most likely be
closed unless someone will provide the commits that need to be
cherry-picked.

So if you want to see this fixed for bullseye, please run a git bisect
to find the relevant commits.

Otherwise, our recommendation is to upgrade to bookworm and this issue
will be closed.
