Package: kdebase-data Version: 4:3.5.5a.dfsg.1-2 Severity: grave Justification: makes the package in question unusable
This version of the package (in etch) will not install: Preparing to replace kdebase-data 4:3.5.5a.dfsg.1-1 (using .../kdebase-data_4%3a3.5.5a.dfsg.1-2_all.deb) ... rmdir: /etc/xdg/menus/kde-applications-merged: Not a directory dpkg: error processing /var/cache/apt/archives/kdebase-data_4%3a3.5.5a.dfsg.1-2_all.deb (--unpack): subprocess pre-installation script returned error exit status 1 However, 4:3.5.5a.dfsg.1-4 (in sid) does unpack. The thing in question is a symlink: $ ls -ld /etc/xdg/menus/kde-applications-merged lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 34 2006-11-26 21:54 /etc/xdg/menus/kde-applications-merged -> /etc/xdg/menus/applications-merged -- System Information: Debian Release: 4.0 APT prefers testing APT policy: (990, 'testing'), (500, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.18-2-686 Locale: LANG=en_GB.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
