Package: xserver-xorg-video-openchrome Version: 1:0.2.904+svn827-1 Recently I moved from a dead Intel Motherboard to an Asus Motherboard.
I started experiencing complete random freezes running in VLC, Flash, MPlayer, IceWeasel and a host of other applications etc. The problem was reproducible by frantically scrolling in Flash. The system required a hard reboot (press of a button) and Ctrl+Alt+SysRq +REISUB would not work either. After much investigation on the net/google I tracked this down to the openchrome drivers currently installed version. See: http://www.openchrome.org/trac/ticket/354#comment:6 My IGP chipset is VIA P4M800 which does not support dri. Finally the one that worked is disable "dri". The system has so far been running stable. Any chances to get this fixed for the next version of the driver.
