Hello,
I have an ATI card (with the fglrx drivers) and I have the same problem.
It is not normal that it asked for nvidia driver as I have an ATI card !
When the message appears, iceweasel slow down.
Best,
Charles

Please provide version details about your NVIDIA setup:
$ apt-show-versions $@
libgl1-nvidia-glx not installed
libvdpau1/unstable uptodate 0.4.1-2
nvidia-glx not installed
nvidia-vdpau-driver not installed
AB Have you tried mplayer with vdpau?
All I know is today I am using Firefox, not mplayer. However I also have
flashplugin-nonfree/unstable
Note I am the dumbest of the dumb web users.
All I want to do is browse web pages and watch videos.
I don't know about all this n- and v- stuff.
All I know is
$ iceweasel
All the rest are some dependencies.
