I can reproduce this behavior, even with emacs23-common-non-dfsg
installed. If M-x info, then select Org, I always end up with the
8.0 info doc.

from backports but my org-mode-doc package from testing since there isn't one
in backports.
I've purged both emacs23-common-non-dfsg and org-mode-doc and reinstalled only
org-mode-doc from testing. Than I see the
