Control: found -1 2.26.2-5 Hello!
For the record, the bug seems to have dissapeared in current version of util-linux package in Debian sid. I did some tests and the issue can still be reproduced by building old(er) revisions of util-linux package (as downloaded from http://snapshot.debian.org ) in an up to date sid chroot as of today. 2.26.2-2: -rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 2132688 Jul 6 09:30 sbin/fstrim 2.26.2-5: -rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 2132688 Jul 6 09:35 sbin/fstrim 2.26.2-6: -rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 39640 Jul 6 09:40 sbin/fstrim 2.26.2-7 is the current version in sid and is not affected, thus the issue seems to have vanished in 2.26.2-6 which only real change was the patches added to fix libcommon on kfreebsd. Possibly the altered size of libcommon avoided triggering the potential bug in the linker. Atleast that's my best guess right now. # dpkg -l binutils gcc Desired=Unknown/Install/Remove/Purge/Hold | Status=Not/Inst/Conf-files/Unpacked/halF-conf/Half-inst/trig-aWait/Trig-pend |/ Err?=(none)/Reinst-required (Status,Err: uppercase=bad) ||/ Name Version Architecture Description +++-==============-============-============-================================= ii binutils 2.25-9 amd64 GNU assembler, linker and binary ii gcc 4:4.9.2-4 amd64 GNU C compiler Regards, Andreas Henriksson -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
